The CDF-Tonzang Battalion (3) camp in Tonzang township was raided by military troops and the Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA) armed group on August 31st at around 3:30 p.m, according ZRA statement.

"At first, we intended to attack the military camp of Tongzang. Unfortunately, one of our men drank and run away. When the military councils found out, they raid our camp at 3:30 p.m. We were lucky that I received the news 5 minutes earlier," said Zo Mu Mung.
CDF-Tonzang later announced that they dismissed two personal from their members for their irresponsible action.
They confirmed that 7 of their guns, 2 drones, and 7 motorcycles, as well as other weapons and ammunition were seized by the ZRA troops.
The ZRA accused the CDF-Tonzang forces of attempting to demolish Tonzang town under the command of the Chin National Front (CNF), while a Chin National Army (CNA) officer stated the ZRA was attempting to blame the CNF for the conflict between them (Zo and Zomi).
