The signboard honouring the legendary seven-time boxing world champion, Mary Kom, was taken down by the Meitei, under the eyes of security forces.
The removal and dismantling of the signboard, which prominently showcased Mary Kom's name and legacy to undermine her legacy will backlash, Kuki community said.
"This might lead to a significant repercussions and international attentions"
