The Myanmar Junta troops and the Pyu Saw Htee militia tortured two members of the Yaw Defence Force (YDF) then burned them alive in public in North Khin Yan Village, Gangaw township, according to Khit Thit Media reported on February 6.
The YDF has later confirmed that the news is true but revealed the incident occurred on November 7, 2023. They also disclosed the names of the victims, namely Phoe Tay and Thar Thaung.
