More Than 300 Myanmar Regime Troops Flee to Bangladesh

As the Arakan Army has taken control of the junta regime's military bases in the northern and western regions of Rakhine state in Myanmar, over 300 troops from the junta regime in Myanmar have crossed the border and fled to Bangladesh.

In the past four days, 327 security personnel from Myanmar have crossed into Bangladesh, reportedly because of fear of attacks by the Arakan Army, according to Bangladeshi BD News 24.

In the course of Operation 1027, which was started by the Northern Brotherhood Alliance, the Arakan Army, an armed force belonging to the Rakhine ethnic group, has been fighting against the Tatmadaw, the military of Myanmar.

The security forces of the Myanmar junta administration were put in a tough situation when the Arakan Army's attacks intensified.

Many junta forces chose to desert their positions and cross into Bangladesh as a result of increasing pressure and casualties on the ground. In the previous four days, 327 members of the Myanmar security forces have infiltrated into Bangladesh, according to the Bangladeshi news website BD News 24.
