The Myanmar junta raided SetKant village in Kalay township on October 6. They burned down at least 100 houses and shot two villagers dead.

The two villagers who died at the hands of the Myanmar regime troops were later identified as a grandmother and grandson.

Over 600 households reside in SetKant, which is primarily home to the Zo (Chin) ethnic group.
